William Davenport, a film director specialising in non-mainstream topics for his series of documentaries have two new ones out soon. The first on Outsiders like legendary noise anti-art troupe, The Haters (American cousins of The New Blockaders), plunderphonic pioneers, Negativland, aggro-shoegazers, Medicine, free jazz snuff combo, Borbetomagus and more to present a peep into the fertile but yet little known American punk-inspired underground of the 1980s and early 1990s. It;s called "New Punks".

He has another one on the subterranean cassette underground of even more obscure nature, called "The Great American Cassette Makers". A group of autarky bedroom and not-so-bedroom (Al Margolis, for e.g., who went on to a little fame as If Bwana) weird sound creators who created a global network of like-minded communique.
